About Detroit Prep Playground!

We’ve been inspired by the way that our students have shown curiosity and creativity during recess over the past three years. With no playground, and our only recess area being our parking lot surrounded by wood-chips, our students have worked together to make up new games and have joy-filled playtime, despite the lack of equipment and structure.

But to live out our mission of providing an equitable education to all students, we believe it’s absolutely necessary to provide a world-class play space for our students at our new school. We believe that all kids, regardless of what zip-code they live in, deserve state of the art equipment to play on. Please help us build the playground of our students' dreams!
